Field Description
Display Negative Value Message

Select this check box if you want to display the following message on the screen any time that a negative balance is due to the employee: "Note: Negative numbers displayed indicate a "Cash Back" option."

Negative balances can occur for some benefits.

Forced Logout Minutes

Use the drop-down list to select the number of minutes that an employee is allowed to have the screen open before being automatically logged out. Typically, companies select fewer minutes for screens that display highly sensitive information, such as the Total Compensation/Benefits screen or the Paycheck screen.

If you select 0, employees will not be automatically logged out.

Format Edit

Select an option from this drop-down list to enforce the formatting that you selected for telephone numbers and postal codes on the General Options tab. This option applies to the Address/Telephone, Emergency Contacts, and Dependents/Beneficiaries screens.

  • No Edit — Formatting is not enforced on this screen.
  • Soft Edit — Select this option to display a warning message when a phone number or postal code is entered in an incorrect format. The incorrect number is allowed to remain on the screen.
  • Hard Edit — Select this option to display an error message when a phone number or postal code is entered in an incorrect format. The incorrect number is not allowed to remain on the screen.
